A 5th year medical student in the University of Nairobi, junior researcher and an anatomy scholar with interests in medical/surgical research.
Having pursued a BSc. Human Anatomy, a research based intercalated degree done during the course of the Bachelors in Medicine and Bachelors in Surgery program, I developed an interest in clinical research and peer review. I also double up as an anatomy instructor in the department of Human Anatomy, University of Nairobi.
Formed a team that helped revive the Research Club School of Medicine, after 3 years of dormancy. Currently the club has a membership of 183 students and an average attendance of 70 students per session. I am serving as the chairperson of the Research Club School of Medicine, University of Nairobi.
I have excellent communication and presentation skills, objectivity and critiquing abilities. I possess skills worthy of consideration in research/scientific methodology and a firm belief that thought process is the foundation of science.
I have a couple of scientific publications and a handful of research related works in progress with a considerable attendance of/presentations in scientific conferences.
Was awarded a prize of 10,000 shillings, for being Joint 2nd runners up in the Aga Khan University Hospital Junior Researchers Day, June 2016.
Seizing opportunities is my weapon in life.
