I am an Entomologist/ Ecologist with over 8 years’ experience in the field of Entomology and Animal Ecology.
I holds a doctorate degree in Natural Science- Entomology from Leibniz University, Hannover in Germany and a Master of Science in Zoology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management and Conservation from University of Nairobi, Kenya.
I joined JKUAT in 2008 as a teaching assistant and I am now a fulltime lecturer in the Department of Zoology. Besides lecturing, my passion is to mentor young people to become successful scientist through a forum called “Scientist by choice and Calling” where we hold meeting especially with girls who aspire to be scientist and researchers. We train them on research skills and proposal development as well as ethics in research.
I am also a member of the Horticultural association of Kenya, Innovation Centre for Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (iCMoB) sub-taskforce committee member and a member of Young professionals for Agriculture and Development YPARD.
