Barani Secondary School
Kilifi County STEM Outreach
Join us for the 2025 Kilifi County STEM Outreach and Mentorship program at Barani Secondary School!

We’re excited to bring our STEM Outreach and Mentorship Program to Kilifi County, with Barani Secondary School as our host. This edition will bring together over 30 schools for a full day of inspiration, career guidance, and innovation, all designed to empower the next generation of scientists, engineers, and changemakers.
The program will feature live STEM demonstrations and one-on-one mentorship sessions, giving students direct exposure to the possibilities within science and technology. For the first time ever, we are also introducing a dedicated session for Junior Secondary School students, helping spark curiosity and innovation at an even earlier stage.
Thanks to our incredible partners, students will engage in live STEM demonstrations and mentorship sessions on STEM Careers and artificial intelligence—giving them a taste of the future.
Courtesy of the RISA Fund and the UK International Development, we will run a one-day innovation workshop for 3 special needs schools in Kilifi county. This workshop will provide inclusive access to STEM learning through tailored activities, hands-on demonstrations, and mentorship, ensuring that students with disabilities are equally empowered to imagine and create solutions for their communities.
In our continued commitment to sustainability, we will also be planting 500 tree seedlings on site, courtesy of Science for Nature and Community Association Collaboration and the Kenya Forest Service (KFS).
Together, we’re shaping minds, nurturing innovation, and contributing to a greener future.
